Debra (Jodee)'s Story

I was a wild child in High School, cutting classes, taking drugs and rebelling against everything. My beloved Grandmother, Blanche Cashel, was brutally murdered on March 17, 1969, by my cousin Ronald Maher, and when I started school in September, I was suffering from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. During High School I had to endure the trial of my cousin, which didn't end until 1972, and he was acquited. My cousin John Cashel was also in our Class of 1972. I am sure he was embarrassed when I was called to the office every day, to see old Mary Jane. I hung out with Janet Ise, John Herrmann, Jaci Holman, Valarie May and Jolene Schott. We were all wild and enjoyed ourselves a lot. I made a lot of friends in school and some of my grade school friends were there too. I had to take all A classes in my senior year to graduate. I worked weekends and summers, during High School, at the old Holiday Inn as a maid. I saved all my money and, bought an old green '59 station wagon, so I didn't have to walk to school, from Valley Hills. I moved out of my parents house right away and started supporting myself as a Parts Runner then Receptionist for City Electric. I met Mark DeLauter in April 1973 and married him July 26,1975. We had two sons, Jordan, born 11/21/80, and Colton, born 6/6/83. Mark and I were divorced Nov. 198...Expand for more
3 and my beloved Daddy, Glenn Cashel (a Police Officer) died Dec. 3, 1983. I suffered P.S.T.D from his death, too. I just concentrated on taking care of my babies and worked at Casper Oilfield Pipeline for 3 years. I moved to Payson, Arizona, in 1986, where my Mother and Grandmother lived, and got a job as a Business Manager at a nursing home. I was transferred to Lake Havasu City, Arizona to work at a different nursing home. I joined a local theater group and was a member for 17 years, acting, singing, directing, producing and eventually working for the group. I met people from all over the world and the U.S. I loved it there in Havasu, a very beautiful city. My Mother and Grandmother followed me there and got involved in the community too. My Mother had a stroke and died June 7, 2008. My son, Colton moved to Casper in 2008. I moved back to Casper in May 2009 to be with my best friend since 1962, Mickey Mudge Harrison, whose health is very bad. My boyfriend, Steve DelReal, followed me to Casper from California. My older son, Jordan moved to Casper soon after I did and met a dear woman, Matti Brockhoff, from Washington, and they had a son, Abel Alan DeLauter on April 22, 2012. Now both of my sons are working in Gillette, with and old friend from Lake Havasu, installing a new water pipeline outside of town.

My sons
I have just been on the "if you grew up in Casper" page and they're saying it is as cold here as Antarctica! I lived in Lake Havasu City, Arizona when the temperature got to 130. So I guess I can take any kind of weather!
Well I got tagged with this picture of me! This was taken on Christmas Day by my son Jordan DeLauter.
